In the 'Superman' documentary, all living characters of the genre are interviewed except Tom Welling. Why?
In the documentary, "Look, up in the sky!: The amazing story of Superman", all living characters involved with the genre are interviewed except Tom Welling - who is the star of TV’s hit show, ‘Smallville’. Tom Welling has been a major contribution to the genre, and is a major celebrity still living. Why was he not involved? Did he refuse, or was he ignored? Or did other schedules conflict?
that is a pretty glaring omission. I haven’t saw it. was this the same show I saw on a&e a few months ago narrated by kevin spacey? it seems like there were 2 shows like that, one on a&e the other on discovery channel and I’m pretty sure I saw tom welling in one of them.
surely he wouldn’t refuse, and it wouldn’t take that long to get some clips so schedule conflict should be out. maybe he wasn’t because technically he isn’t superman yet.
but I’m sure I have saw him on some superman/superhero doc where he was talking about meeting christoper reeve in that one episode and his(tom’s) part in the grand scheme of things.
I’ll have to rent it

Because he is not yet technically Superman. His character is Clark Kent. Until he puts on the red tights, he’s in a whole different world
